For several years in a row cyber-attacks, data fraud and the breakdown of critical information infrastructure are recognised as major risks in the Annual Global Risk Report published by the World Economic Forum. Simultaneously, studies report that cyber-crime continues to be ‘on the rise’. Hence, information security has become an important concern for CIO’s and CISO’s. We open the debate on how CIO’s and CISO’s can turn the tide: What are the key success factors for Information Security Management? What works, what fails? As such they reflect the viewpoint of CIO’s and CISO’s on successful Information Security Management. 18.30 Keynote 1 Dieter Sarrazyn, Security Consultant & Managing Partner Toreon Dieter is a security expert who systematically aims to find vulnerabilities in information systems which hackers can exploit. He has built his career in industrial environments and has gained excellent knowledge on strategic, tactical and operational level regarding security related subjects. He works extensively on the security within the industrial control system area including more than 8 years in a large electricity generation company. He is the technical assessments team leader as well as the driver for the ICS security solutions Toreon offers. Dieter will shed some light on how hackers operate within IT and OT environments. He will also explain what can go wrong and what CISO’s and CIO’s can do to prevent and/or deal with such attacks. 18.55 Keynote 2 Ronald Verbeek, Director CIO Platform Nederland & Jethro Cornelissen, Manager of the Cyber Security Incident Response Team Rabobank Ronald Verbeek will explain the approach to cooperation in security that has been followed by the CIO Platform Nederland. This involves awareness within the organization, between the organization and its environment of supply chain partners and government agencies, and with unknown, potentially beneficial third parties. To address this last group, the Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure Manifesto has been developed, which lays down principles for interaction between an organization and ethical hackers that want to help improve the security of information systems. Jethro will provide a practical testimonial of how the Coordinat Vulnerability Disclosure is applied at Rabobank, and what their experiences with this measure are. 19.20 Keynote 3 Yuri Bobbert, CISO, lector and Researcher Antwerp Management School Yuri Bobbert is Chief Information Security Officer at NN Group and lector Business Information Security at Antwerp Management School and NOVI University of Applied Science. The main area of his research is Business Information Security Management & Governance. Yuri published his work at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, resulting in his book “Maturing Business Information Security, a framework to establish the desired state of security maturity”. Yuri is also a visiting researcher at ITAG Research Institute (University of Antwerp).
